A Cold-Pressed CBD Mocha — Built as a Coffee Alternative

Mushroom Mocha · Foundation is the cornerstone of TWM — The Wellness Method® — a cold-pressed CBD mocha built around seven organic mushrooms, Peruvian cacao and functional actives.

It's not coffee. It's not a coffee replacement. It's a different kind of morning ritual — built on heritage ingredients, cold-pressed CBD, and seven mushrooms that have been used for centuries across traditional wellness systems.

Each cup pairs cold-pressed hemp-derived CBD with a stack of seven organic mushrooms — Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Chaga, Maitake, Shiitake and Tremella — and a base of raw Peruvian cacao, shilajit, prebiotic acacia fibre and a whisper of cayenne pepper.

A Different Kind of Morning Ritual

Most coffee alternatives still try to mimic coffee. Mushroom Mocha doesn't. It's built around three principles:

- Cold-pressed CBD as the anchor — the same hemp-derived compound used across The Wellness Method

- Seven organic mushrooms — sourced for their heritage in traditional wellness systems

- A base of Peruvian cacao, shilajit, prebiotic acacia fibre and a whisper of cayenne pepper — the carrier and supporting cast the rest of the blend lives in

It's a daily ritual built on what's in the cup, not a promise about how you'll feel.

Why Mushrooms Work So Well in Coffee Alternatives

Functional mushrooms have been used for centuries in traditional wellness systems across China, Japan and Eastern Europe — particularly Lion's Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps and Chaga.

Mushroom Mocha uses dual-extracted, organic mushroom extracts for each of the seven mushrooms in the blend, paired with raw Peruvian cacao — a heritage ingredient known for its rich chocolate flavour and centuries of use across the Andes.

Together with cold-pressed, hemp-derived CBD, shilajit, prebiotic acacia fibre and a whisper of cayenne pepper, the result is a different kind of mocha — one designed around the ingredients themselves.

Mushroom Coffee vs Regular Coffee

Coffee is a stimulant. Caffeine, water, and a long heritage of bean cultivation.

Mushroom Mocha is a different formulation entirely — there is no coffee in it. The base is raw Peruvian cacao. The functional ingredients are seven organic mushrooms and cold-pressed CBD. Some people use it instead of coffee. Others use it alongside.

What it isn't: a quicker hit of caffeine in a different format. The two drinks aren't the same category.

Mushroom Coffee Alternative FAQs

Q1: What is mushroom coffee?

Mushroom coffee is a category name for drinks that blend functional mushroom extracts with a coffee, cacao or matcha base. Some use ground coffee. Others — like The Wellness Method's mocha range — use raw cacao instead, so the blend contains no coffee at all.

Q2: Is mushroom coffee healthier than coffee?

We can't make health comparisons between products under UK food rules. Mushroom-based mochas like ours simply contain different ingredients to coffee — raw cacao, organic mushroom extracts, cold-pressed CBD, shilajit, prebiotic acacia fibre and a whisper of cayenne pepper rather than caffeine alone.

Q3: Does mushroom coffee contain caffeine?

It depends on the recipe. Drinks that use coffee as a base contain regular coffee caffeine. Mushroom Mocha · Foundation uses raw cacao, which contains a small amount of natural caffeine (around 6mg per serving — for reference, a cup of coffee has around 95mg). Matcha Mocha · Precision adds ceremonial-style matcha, which adds more. Chai Mocha · Ritual is the same caffeine level as Foundation.

Q4: What mushrooms are used in mushroom coffee?

The seven in every cup of Mushroom Mocha are Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Chaga, Maitake, Shiitake and Tremella — each used for centuries in traditional wellness systems across China, Japan and Eastern Europe. We use organic versions of each.
