This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what categories of cookies we use on wellnessmethod.co.uk (the "Site"), and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy and is written to comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and where you have consented, deliver relevant marketing. We also use similar technologies including pixels, tags, and local storage. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this Policy.

2. The four categories of cookies we use

When you first visit the Site, our cookie banner asks for your consent to non-essential cookies. You can accept all, decline all, or open Settings to choose by category. You can change your preferences at any time using the Cookie Settings button on the bottom of the page.

Strictly necessary (always on)

These cookies are essential for the Site to function. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, the shopping cart, and remembering items you've added. The Site will not work properly without these. They do not require your consent and cannot be disabled. Examples: session ID, cart token, security/anti-fraud, load balancing, language preference, cookie consent record.

Functional (consent required)

These cookies remember choices you make to give you a more personalised experience — for example, remembering your preferred subscription frequency or whether you've seen a popup. They are not essential, but the Site works better with them on. Examples: preference cookies set by Wix, popup-frequency cookies.

Analytics (consent required)

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. They tell us which pages are most popular, where visitors come from, and where the experience could be better. The data is aggregated and we do not use it to identify you individually. Examples: Wix's built-in analytics. (Google Analytics, Hotjar, and other analytics tools are not currently active; this section will be updated when they are introduced.)

Marketing (consent required)

These cookies track you across websites to deliver advertising that's relevant to your interests, measure how well our ads perform, and limit how often you see the same ad. We use these only if you opt in. We do not currently run any marketing pixels (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel, etc.). This section will be updated if and when marketing pixels are introduced — and only with your prior consent.

3. Specific cookies set on this Site

The list below covers the cookies currently set on the Site. Items marked "not currently active" are listed for transparency and will only be set if we introduce that integration, and only with your consent.

  • XSRF-TOKEN (Wix) — Strictly necessary — Cross-site request forgery protection — Session

  • svSession (Wix) — Strictly necessary — Visitor session management — 2 years

  • consent-policy (Wix) — Strictly necessary — Records cookie consent choices — 1 year

  • cart_id (Wix / Shopify) — Strictly necessary — Holds shopping cart — 14 days

  • _ga (Google Analytics) — Analytics — Distinguishes unique users — 2 years — not currently active

  • _gid (Google Analytics) — Analytics — Distinguishes unique users — 24 hours — not currently active

  • _fbp (Meta) — Marketing — Identifies browsers for advertising and analytics — 90 days — not currently active

  • _ttp (TikTok) — Marketing — Tracks ad performance — 13 months — not currently active

We will keep this list up to date as we add or remove integrations. If you spot an inaccuracy, please email hello@wellnessmethod.co.uk.

4. How to manage your cookie preferences

On our Site: The cookie banner appears on your first visit. Choose Accept All, Decline All, or open Settings to choose by category. To change your choices later, click the Cookie Settings button at the bottom of any page.

In your browser: You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings: Chrome → Settings → Privacy and security; Safari → Settings → Privacy; Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security; Edge → Settings → Cookies and site permissions. Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies in your browser may stop parts of the Site (including checkout) from working.

Opting out of advertising cookies more broadly: Your Online Choices (UK) at youronlinechoices.com; Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org; Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no consistent industry standard for how to respond, so we currently do not change our cookie behaviour based on this signal. Please use the cookie banner or your browser's cookie controls instead.

6. Cookies set by other websites

If you click a link to another website (for example a social media link), that site may set its own cookies on your device. We are not responsible for those cookies — please check the cookie or privacy policy of the third-party site.

7. Changes to this Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy whenever the cookies we set change materially or as the law evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
